Our Objectives

Aging with Autism is committed to these two strategic objectives:

  1. Quality of Life and Well-Being
    • Aging with Autism recognizes that individuals with Autism and related developmental disabilities are as unique in their desires and priorities as their typically developing peers. We are committed to supporting new and innovative ways of understanding what happiness and well-being looks like "at it's best" for individuals with classic autism and to supporting vocational, recreational and leisure programs that will increase their happiness and overall well-being.
  2. Online Community Building
    • Although everyone acknowledges that it takes a village to raise a child with autism, examples of collaboration are still far to few. Aging with Autism has created this online community of support that highlights the important work being done by organizations, parents and other professionals and furthers the conversation among parent, providers and other key stakeholders.
